Bleh, typing on the Wii...

Anyway, here I am stuck between choosing GS or infighter. I was originally gonna use my last char slot on a hybrid DK but then the imminent launch of pirates became apparent. I used to be bent on GSers because of their playstyle, but they have the same problem I was making a Dk for in the first place... Low HP. Also they don't have dick for partying capability, and I've always liked being wanted for a bossing party. GSers are just as alone all the time as WKs and archers. Then again, I can't see a reason why Infighters would party anymore then GS till 4th job... Still, as much as I like to parteh It sucks being too reliant [i play a priest too] and mabye a hardcore solost would be a nice change....

Looks like infighters are going to be way over populated tho, and I hear GS/Infighter parties are supposed to work well.

Then theres the HP problem. Would a 7x bloodmaster build be out of the question I wonder?

Some bowman take a few levels of AP and put it into HP instead of Dex

Its for the people who dont wanna waste alot of money and HP wash

well honestly..gunslingers are weak as is..lowering their damage dosn't seem like a good idea..however if you merchant alittle..1.5 months or so
you could make a nice 1b ( if your not that pro at merchanting that is )
and just changed 500m into 250k nx give or take 50k nx
and you would be able to HP wash..btw are their any guides to HP washing my friend needs one and idk how to explain it

Same as any other class. As far as I know, GS have the EXACT Hp and Mp per level as Bowman.

So wear Int equips when you level, and when you have enough extra MP past your minimum, add AP into Hp and reset your Mp into Dex

Now that I tink about it, GSers have more than enough survival skills to not worry about hp as much as archers... example: a ranger at squids normally needs to get footing to strafe spam risking being spawned on and touch damaged. A gs can use float to stay off the ground and still keep shooting.

Plus, Its gonna be like 9:1 infighter population to GSers and I just like being uncommon. Also, whats so bad about GSers when bossing? Rapid fire or BS cannon would make for good attacker damage would'nt it? I already have a CB anyway, dont really need another flashy melee char do I..

Typing on the wii... so slow

Gunslingers still FTW. so versatile, ntm homing and advanced homing for bosses. They will be wanted for parties the same reason people are wanted in kpq: because they're good, not for party skills.

Versatile sure, but very very weak damage till 3rd job. I mean comon, average equipment doing 1.5k dmg with invisible shot at level 70... Im not a damage whore but thats just TOO low. Even KMSs top GS said the damage was terrifyingly low till 3rd job, and IMO 2nd job is where you have the most fun xD I think ima go infighter... Party capability, good HP and flashy powar. I dont think I have the patience for a sniping-to-train in 3rd job. I wanna be a quick flashy heavyweight ballistic killer for a change.

I just dont like infighters 1st job but hell, 2 days of a poop 1st job wont hurt.

On the subject of Slingers hp my level 39 one has 1.2k hp currently. Oh and if your worried about having to wack at monsters dont worry, fake shot works at point blank and backflip kick which you should at least have 11 points in from first job.

Does backstep shot work at point blank?

The only deciding factor for me now is, are all the infighters annoying cooldowns going to be too annoying =/

Apparently, you can shot without enemies, yeah... Saw it on some video.

The recoil doesn't reach flash jump, though... Oh, and uses a bullet, I guess :p

I apologize but I wont have backstep shot for around 7 more levels so I am not sure if it works at point blank yet. :f4:

Yeah, it works at point blank range.

Jump up and use it. :P It gets a good deal of range.

Hey Blitz it seems to me that from around 56ish on you really only use backstep shot to get around, invisible shot to mob, and dash to get around. Did you ever really use fakeshot at all? I read through your posts and you mentioned you used it at death teddies. So now im curious at what levels was it really useful

Backstep Shot is really useful while training too, since Gunslingers don't have a KB skill. I'd consider it one of the most necessary skills; I use it ALL the time. Same thing goes for Dash, except t's not really necessary but it's pretty helpful when you're not partied with someone who has Haste. Bit of side info regarding that too: Dash doesn't cancel out Haste's speed or jump, it just replaces it with the speed & jump from Dash and goes back to Haste's stats when it runs out or gets cancelled.

As for Fake Shot, I think I used it the most while training at FoG. It's really useful around bigger monsters when you don't have much space to move around.

Its gotta be a huge pain dealing with mobs at FoG, especially when theres no room on the platform to shoot from... I guess fake shot spam is really all you can do untilll you get room for other skills.

I heard Gaviotas explosives cancel fake shots stun, if its true, mabye cooling effect should come before Gaviota?

Love ur vids btw Blitz, looking forward to any more if you plan on making more =P

Nah, the mobs were actually really easy to control using Fake Shot once to stun them, then Backstep Shot to get away, then just snipe from a distance. I had no problems training at FoG, though Magatia's C-2 was a lot easier because you can just zone out there. :P

And yeah, Gaviota does cancel Fake Shot's stun and it's highly recommended to get Cooling Effect before it. In fact, I really don't like Gaviota in general.. It's impossible to control, takes forever to attack (if it even does), and you have to cast it every 10 seconds.. It's decently helpful in mobs though, I guess.. The best build in my opinion would be maxing Triple Fire, then Cooling Effect, then Octopus, then Gaviota, and finally Homing. Then throw the last 11 points into Fire Burner even though it's pretty useless.

And thanks, I hope to make more videos soon. xD
