View Full Version : Adding "South Perry" to the filter

It really annoys me when someone puts a space between "South" and "perry", and I've seen it quite a few times on this forum already. Maybe it'd be an idea to filter it so "South Perry" becomes "Southperry".
It's just like saying "Hene Sys" or "Ludi Brium" o.o;
South is a word, unlike "hene" or "ludi". So people get confusizdled.

Its day 1, its a common mistake people will soon correct.
I don't think its such a big deal to add it to the filters yet.

It's really not two words? I always thought there was a location, Perry, and there were south and north divisions, and in that case there's usually a space. Ex: Korea, Dakota, Carolina, etc.
There's really no North Perry?! My dreams have been crushed.

Alas its obvious you are not an Islander.
We know the history behind the towns. Amherst and Southperry used to be one town hundreds of years ago known as Perry but a civil war split them into North Perry and South Perry. Eventually their borders became larger and larger as they expanded in opposite directions. North Perry renamed itself Amherst and sometime in their history of writing South Perry started referring to their town as Southperry.

Holy crap, that's freaking awesome.
Islander God :3
A civil war on such a small island? Intresting. Poor South Perry, it lost it's friend, North Perry. :(

Thanks Dit. :D
Mira people stuck in small places usually don't get along, just look at Europe. Its one of the continents that has had the most contact with each other and look at their history of constant war(up until the U.N. was formed).
The people in Amherst and Southperry have very different cultures and that is why they originally split because some people liked to live a life of morality, respect, and farming. Others enjoyed alcohol, fishing, and water.

The Korean situation is completely different since it was fuled by outside agenda of the Cold War and even though North Korean and South Korean culture is completely different now, this has to do less with eachother than North Korea's extreme isolationist politics.

South Korea's pop/mainstream culture is basically the same as every other Westernized country.
North Korea is a scary place, their people are brainwashed into being loyal to their leader and the leader's ancestry and they are totally militarized.
Well, those are two seperate words in the english dictionary, so it's common for people to sepearte the 2.

Well, let people say it however they want to say it for now.
Eventually, people still stick to one way of saying in time.
Right now (even myself), I like to say South Perry and SouthPerry because I'm not used to the town.
Eventually, after typing and saying it enough times, it'll eventually turn into Southperry, or SP.
It's just matter to time to get used to it.
