I'm honestly waiting for the movies that are in the works, because I admit I REALLY got into the show. Its not a show I'd re-watch, though. Like Robotech, for example.

It's a pretty average Shounen as Lylac said, even though it has the unconventional

barely 1/4th of the way into the first arc. I did enjoy the exaggeration of size in the anime though, made me think all the males had self-esteem problems.

One of my friends loves this anime but I haven't watched it yet. Its been on my "plan to watch" list forever. I plan to watch it after Darker than Black, which is after Last Exile.

Not as good as my favorite Gainax creation, Neon Genesis Evangelion, but it's definitely up there with the better anime I've watched.

My favorite anime. It may not be all complicated in story and whatnot, but it's EXCITING, with EPIC battles in almost EVERY episode, and it just fills you with feelings of AWESOME.

I finally finished the anime last night and my first/biggest impression of this was "Ive never seen an anime with this much contrast from beginning to end". The beginning sucked majorly and the ending was amazing. The artwork was nice and the quality was pretty good (even though I was just watching it on youtube cause I was too lazy to download).

The beginning was really pretty meh for me. Yeah there were nice fight scenes but that was about it, and if I wanted pure fight scenes, I'd have watched it elsewhere. The first 18 episodes took me 3 weeks to get through on and off. I watched 19-27 in one sitting last night up till 4 am.

Ive heard the music before on G4's blog and I'd say that watching it with the anime and on its own makes all the difference in the world. On its own, its just a clash of different genres while in the anime, its the clash of emotions and whatnot.

Overall, it was a nice anime but the beginning few episodes takes it out of the "great" anime lists for me.
