I think they restock every 30 min or so. I had the same problem as you when the 2x event first started, then I came back 30min later and I was able to buy some (and had to cc a lot).

I seem to remember a thread from sw.net that listed all restrictions/limitations in MapleStory. This included not being able to CC while you're "breathing" or not healing on a rope. One of them was "pot shops run out of stars for you to recharge with". Poor Assassin, she couldn't train xD

My personal beef is not being able to drop items while "breathing." I frequently have a maxed out use inventory from all the mana elixers that Himes drop, and then I can't loot a scroll without running to kappas/foxes and trying to clear a space long enough to drop something.

For this reason, I keep around a stash of HP pots instead of HP/MP pots. In case my Mana Elixirs start to max out, I switch to eating those and Honsters instead of Ginseng Roots. It happens a lot for me at Skeles.

It's worse at Himes - they drop Mana Elixers on almost every 3rd kill - I start with 2000 ginsengs and 0 Mana Elixers, and leave an hour later with about 1500 ginsengs and 400-500 Mana Elixers, 20-40 elixers, 100 Ramen, 100 Sniper Potions.

The logical solution is to rape the shop using 15 mules before a major 2x event like this. Can't have too many mana bulls, and whne the event starts, you can just have a friend xfer some when you run out.

How long does it take for a shop to restock potions/stars? I doubt it's a different time per chan/world, but if it is, is it possible to find out?

Back with the Blue Chairs in Lith craze, people would buy them out on each channel, and sell them for profit in the FM. When you went to buy one, it would say that they were out of stock.

Lol, this was common since 2x EXP events started becoming more commonplace. xD

Lets just say that yes, shops do have a limit on how much they can sell. I had this happen to me (in Ch. 1) in last weekend's 2x EXP. Needless to say, its annoying. xD
