Half, half. When I'm bored and browsing forums + when i'm at zakum I use windowed mode. Otherwise fullscreen.

Windowed mode all the way.

The only time I use full screen is if I'm completely engaging with MS, such as bossing or CPQing.

Off topic: Ew at poll bar color =[
And you misspelled almost :P

Full Screen, always.

My notebooks' screens aren't quite big enough for the windowed mode to work for me >_>

Also, I've had at least two computers the entire time I've played MS, so I keep my messengers/IRC client/music going on the second machine and just run MS on the other.

I use full screen nearly 100% of the time, but that's because I'm an uncultured hog and don't use AIM/MSN/etc very much.

I use fullscreen. I'm fairly horrible at multi-tasking, plus my screen resolution is 1280x1024, so trying to view stuff on a 800x600 window is work for my eyes. xD

Depends what I'm doing.
If I'm browsing forums, I'll have it windowed; if I'm browsing FM, I'll have it full screen, et cetera.

I'm so used to full screen mode, and it's always been on a wide screen monitor - that switching over to windowed mode hurts my eyes. @_@

Though - it looks prettier. =3

Full-screen, except when checking for basil traders. Windowed is a little small, and makes my laptop hot enough to cook something.

You can change that in system options, at the bottom check window mode.

I use windows mode only when I'm chatting or mostly on the internet, when I just want to check back in to see whats being said. Generally I use full screen though (I hate clicking off of the screen when I'm trying to get something at the edge...).

That's what I do: Msn/everything else on my 8 year old desktop (its old I know. Im waiting for the one I won from nexon to come) and MS on my laptop.

I occasionally MS on both computers and I'll say this: Im not even going to try window'd mode on my old desktop... not when it takes like 3 minutes for MS to just start up.

As for my laptop, window'd mode is just too small to look decent and part of it just annoys me for some reason. Perhaps when the new computer gets here, i'll try window'd mode on a proper screen (Laptop is 14.1) and maybe I'll like it then. However, as it is, its full screen for me.

Before I updated my computer, I had to play in windowed. Now that it has been reformatted and upgraded, full screen pretty much all the time. Unless I'm multi-tasking, anyway.

I looked around at some other forums, but I couldn't find the answer. Only possible reason I could come up with is that a program on your computer reacts on the windowed mode which maplestory then considers a hacking program.

800 x 600 Maple story sitting on a 1920 x 1200 desktop is tough on my old eyes. But occasionally I'll do this to check comments on vent or check a website for something. It's good to have the option.

Now if they'd only allow resizing!

I like windowed mode. My anti-virus software gives me pop-ups sometimes and my computer tabs in and out reallyyy slow. If something pops up at himes, it's auto-death. ;[ Plus it's pretty much impossible for me to do anything else in full-screen mode. Like I said, computer sucks.

They do not. Mine's connected via DVI and it looks pretty damn good. On topic, what I meant is that LCD displays have only one native resolution, and when using non-native ones, they stretch and look ugly.

I used to have a dual display setup with one CRT and one Widescreen LCD. The CRT died on a 2x EXP event... so I got owned. LOL.

a windowed version of maple on a 1280x800 laptop is too small for me.

Though I do frequently put it in windowed mode to browse the internet or when my brother needs the laptop.

I haven't gotten around to trying windowed mode. Keep forgetting to, heh.

This is a reminder to myself to try it out.

I don't really use chatting programs while mapling so I might stick with the full screen mode. Maybe if I need to check the internet a lot, then I might start using windowed mode.

Kevin

Almost always full screen. My laptop fans are all clogged with dust so my graphic card heats up real quickly. Putting Maple in windowed mode just increases the strain on the card and my computer crashes more often.

Besides, I can Alt-Tab pretty quickly if I really need to chat while Maple is on. I'm sure when I get a better computer I'll use windowed mode more often.

Windowed for playing, fullscreen for AFKing. Windowed allways shows over the desktop which can be annoying when I'm trying to work on other things. So for that, I switch back to fullscreen so I can minimize it without it getting in my way.

half and half. Fullscreen if I'm training or zakking or doing anything where my full attention is on MS. Windowed if I'm sitting around waiting for my friends to come on IM and just want to bonk sentinels with a noob character. I like having the option to do it both ways.

I use them equally. Windowed mode solved my problem of MSNing, which I love. If I'm bossing or training though I usually use full screen. Window mode can be quite straining for me after a while, it makes me wish they would resize to 1024x768.

You'd like that, wouldn't you? ;)

I've also noticed some lag sometimes with windowed mode - that, or I manage to click outside the box accidentally and have to click back in.

The main disadvantage to windowed, as I just discovered this week while my parents were visiting, is that my mother can NOT keep away from that little red X. We went through several iterations of the following:

Her: "Can I check my email on your computer?"
Me: "Sure. It's on, just leave everything else like it is when you get off."
<She gets on, *closes* MS>
Me: AAAARGH!

So much for my FM spot, right?

They really, really, need to implement an "Are you sure you want to exit MapleStory? [Yes] [No]" box when someone clicks the red X.

I use windows mode, but anyone know how to make maple start up in windows mode? I know there is the system options menu and the box to check, but the problem is that whenever i check the box, it doesn't stay there... does that make any sense at all?

It's like, i'll check the box and turn it to windows mode, then later quit the game (full shut off of Maple). I'll come back later to see that Maple starts up in fullscreen again; the system options remain with neither box checked.

Sorry for the long-ish post, but i would really want to know how to make permanent windows mode.

Jay

I pretty much stick to windowed mode when I'm playing (this is true for any online/computer game I play that has this option). I'm usually doing other things on my computer outside of playing the game, so it's easier to just be able to minimize the screen with the click of a mouse than ALT + TAB out repeatedly and wait for the other screens to load and such.
